EXPERT SAILOR

DOWN-THE-LINE :
Smooth in the turns regardless of how tight or drawn out. V carries forward to help rail to rail steering.

ON SHORE :
Plans early for 78 liters, has power in the tail for coasting through holes and getting to weather, but the stock fin feels small and soft.

BUMP AND JUMP :
Great for control, tricks and transitions but suffers slightly in speed. It's maneuver oriented and controllable in the air.

FREESTYLE :
In powered conditions the 78's tucked rails make it maneuverable and slashy. A fairly wide outline provides stability for the experienced.

ADVANCED SAILOR :
It's wave oriented in design with an emphasis on control rather than blistering speed. You?ll need to work to hang with you buddies in the flats, but you?ll laugh last when the swell builds.

FREE-RIDE SAILOR :
Free-ride testers, who rarely sailed small boards, loved the comfort and control the 78 offered. It accelerates smoothly, planes at slower speeds and handles anything from back and forth sailing to down the line ripping.

COMMENTS :
The 78 is awesome on a wave. The construction is stiff and responsive while the foot bumpers, pads and wood inlaid reinforcements protect against heel dents. The 78 also has the control for free-ride sailors getting into high winds/waves for the first time.
