The "Starboard Diva" takes the lead.

Jennifer Henderson, the 1999 Aloha Classic winner, have taken the pole position for the overall World Champion crown of wave sailing. In bitter cold conditions on the Dingle peninsula in South West Ireland, she finished in 4th place after her climb up the loser's bracket came to an instant halt, when she landed a huge forward loop which ended with equipment failure. Rescue jet skis failed to assist her, and she was pulled by strong currents and four meter swells a mile down the beach. By the time she made it back to the event side, it was too late for her next heat.

"I was sailing great, winning all three previous heats, and to be stopped by this was disappointing" stated Jennifer, then adding "but to end up with a strong lead for the PWA World Tour Wave Title, makes it all worthwhile."

Jennifer leads with 3435 points, followed by 1999 World Champion Karin Jaggi Of Switzerland with 3193 points, and 2000 Freestyle Champion Colette Guadagnino from Venezuela with 3057 points respectively.

Jennifer is the creator of Starboards Diva line of windsurfing hardware, designed Especially for women.

"My gear gives me a real advantage over my competitors, and I am stoked to be able to pass on some of my success to other women - in the form of well tested proven equipment."

The PWA final event is the Aloha Classic from November 8th. To 14th. Stay tuned.
